Last week, I was browsing scoops on Nudgeville when I found this entry regarding Blog Action Day 2008. This was the first time I head of Blog Action Day. Although being quite new to blogging with my Mini Computer World blog, I found it was a great idea to unite thousands of blogs to post about the same issue on the same day, and I decided to participate.
My way to contribute is through this post, and also by helping with a modest financial contribution. I will be donating my day earnings, and will be microloaning my blog setup fees ($167). I only became aware of microfinance earlier this year, and I believe it is a great way to empower people and lift them and their communities out of powerty.
